Vision 2025 Survey Results
12/1/2016 11:21 AM

We appreciate the parents and community members who took the time to share their input on our community survey this Fall.  Please click above to find a link to the survey results.  The community input has affirmed many of the plans and initiatives we’ve already put in place and will help guide us as we work toward continuous improvement in all aspects of our district including safety, wellness, academics, technology and communication.  We are interested in growing our community involvement with Vision 2025; if you are interested please contact Deanna Werner at 651-480-7002 or by email at:  dwerner@hastings.k12.mn.us

Weather Related Closing and/or Delay Information
11/28/2016 2:59 PM
The Hastings Public Schools website is the fastest and most accurate to find out if the district has closed or delayed their start time. This is the first place where this information will appear once determination has been made. By checking the web you can avoid missing our school district listing while watching the television or having to flip through channels because you see Hastings Public Schools listed on one channel but not on another. In addition, we will continue, as always, to have our closing information announced on KDWA Radio, 1460 AM and Channels 4, 5, 9 and 11.

The School Board for Hastings Public Schools has authorized a change in the 2016-17 School Calendar, allowing December 22nd to be a non-school day for students, so staff can be trained on the ALICE model for responding to a violent threat.

Signage on Todd Field Fencing
7/21/2016 3:31 PM
From time to time, temporary signage is placed on the fencing at Todd Field.  Regrettably, signage hung in that location has to be removed due to a Minnesota Statue which prohibits temporary signage being placed along a trunk highway.

The removal of this signage, or any signage, which from time to time, is placed on the fencing at Todd Field, does not indicate disagreement with the group or cause for which it was created to promote, however, the district does need to comply with the laws of the State and is required to remove the signage regardless of the message.

We ask for the community’s cooperation as the school district continues to adhere to this practice.  If you are the owner of the signage that has been removed and would like to retrieve it so you could use it in another location, please contact the district office at 651-480-7002.

Hastings Public Schools and Facebook
6/1/2016 10:36 AM

As a school district we are always looking for ways to communicate effectively in order to develop and deepen our relationships with our students, parents, staff and community. As a district we strive to inform, listen to, and engage the community we serve in order to celebrate, support, and share the mission of our district. Facebook is just one more tool we will utilize to make this happen.  Like us on Facebook.

School District Bullying Report Form
2/1/2015 2:48 PM
On April 9, 2014 Governor Dayton signed the Safe and Supportive Schools Act. This act required Minnesota school districts to implement a Bullying Policy beginning in the 2014-2015 school year. Our district had had a bullying policy in place for a number of years and the new legislation provided an opportunity for review and refinement. Please click above for more information or to download the district's Bullying Report Form.
